The nutrients contained in herbal tea are particularly actively absorbed by plants during the flowering and fruiting periods. I’ll explain in simple and clear terms the recommendations of Candidate of Technical Sciences Anatoly Alexandrovich Veselov on this topic.
To avoid using chemical fertilizers on my property, which are quite expensive, and also to avoid using manure, which isn’t cheap either, I prefer to use natural fertilizers. For example, compost is a good option, but we typically use it when preparing beds or apply it directly during planting. But when plants start to turn yellow or wilt, herbal teas come to the rescue. This is a truly economical and effective method.
I tried infusing several herbs, but after a week, the infusion began to give off such a strong, unpleasant odor that using it to water plants became undesirable. It was also unclear how much and when to use it.

However, after studying scientific works, I found the answers to my questions. The books contain recommendations on how to properly prepare herbal infusions, which herbs to choose, how long to infuse the solution, and how to properly dilute it.
It turns out that not all herbs are suitable for infusions. Horsetail, plantain, nettle, sorrel, and burdock are excellent, for example. It’s important to remove the roots and flowers, chop the herb, and place it in a container two-thirds full.
