Today we propose this homemade cleaner to clean your house naturally and, above all, affordably. We use more and more chemicals in our homes, and they’re becoming more and more expensive.
This cleaner will give you a deep clean and leave a delicious aroma in your home. The combination of citrus fruits, like lemon, and vinegar creates a powerful degreaser, while its aroma will make household chores an almost therapeutic experience.
MATERIALS:
- glass container with a plastic lid (not glass)
- reusable glass spray bottle (or an empty vinegar bottle)
- a cup of distilled white vinegar
- a cup of distilled water
- lemon peels
- a tablespoon of salt
- 2-3 sprigs of fresh rosemary
- a tablespoon of vanilla extract
- Three drops of lemon, two drops of clove, and one drop of rosemary essential oil (optional)
INSTRUCTIONS:
- Place the lemon peels in the glass jar with the lid and add the salt.
- Add the white vinegar, rosemary, vanilla extract, and essential oil, if using. Close the jar, turn it upside down, and shake several times to mix.
- Let it rest for 2-3 weeks, turning it over every two days. Once cured, put it in a spray bottle, filling it halfway. Add the lemon peels and rosemary sprigs. Fill the rest of the bottle with distilled water and shake it.
- Once you’ve finished cleaning, rinse the lemon peels and rosemary and add them to a pot of water over a heat source. Your home will be scented with a delicious aroma.
NOTE: You can replace the lemon peels with orange peels, you get a different perfume and the result is the same.
