You will never have to throw away your toothpaste again because there is a way to recover every drop of the product. In fact, you should use it this way so as not to waste it.
We usually buy toothpaste for oral hygiene and it is essential to use it every day and even several times a day combined with the toothbrush. What you may not know is that you can also use this product in other ways. In fact, toothpaste solves various household problems especially related to household chores .
Toothpaste is a product with a thousand uses and in fact, below we are going to show you how not to waste even a little of your toothpaste. You won’t have to buy one just to clean, but we will show you how to use the one that is almost finished. All in the next paragraph.
This is how not to waste toothpaste
Don’t throw away your empty toothpaste . In fact, we’ll show you how to use it now. Just cut it up and you’ll find a really valid alternative use. You’ll need two long toothpicks and two cotton swabs. Then take a small rubber band and join the two toothpicks together so that they are fixed together at one end.
Then place the almost finished tube of toothpaste inside the two tied toothpicks. Now use another elastic to also lock the other two free ends. Now sliding the two toothpicks towards the cap will recover all the product and you will not lose it.
However, there will still be some small bits of residue stuck to the plastic tube and let’s now see what these can be useful for. Next, take a pair of scissors and cut strips of tube about 2 centimetres long . Then open them up with a cut on the short side so that you can use them for cleaning.
For example, you can rub one of these open strips of toothpaste on the tap to remove limescale stains present on it. In fact, the small amount that is present is enough to help you remove everything. Then wipe it with a dry cloth and you’re done. But this is not the only way.
More methods on how to use it.
We have other uses to recommend. You should always use the strips that have been previously opened. Here they are:
- Pot lids : Dirt often settles on lids, especially around the edges. Simply wipe this strip along both the inside and outside edges to remove hidden dirt. It will also make the glass shine and eliminate bad odours.
- Shoe soles : Take another strip and run it over the soles of your shoes. It is usually present on most shoes and is white. Being a light colour, it tends to get dirty easily and you will be able to fix it in no time. In fact, it only takes a little: rub and then wipe with a damp cloth to remove the excess.
- Iron : You can run a strip over the iron, as lime deposits often form here. You will also need an old toothbrush to better remove all residue. Then wipe with a damp cloth.
- Removing stains : in this case we are talking about stains on the walls of the wall. Especially for white walls. In fact, it is enough to pass the strip gently over the stain without scratching the wall further and then rub it on the stain with a cloth moistened with hot water.
